Yesterday I went to my very first craft fair for Two Toots. It was interesting. Lots of good vendors, very crafty people! Some of the vendors included things like Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Thirty One, Tupperware, but there were a lot that just did their own thing. One of the ladies made aprons. I have a thing for aprons. And owls. Not sure why, but, there you have it. Anyway...the aprons are just the ones that tie at the waist and I usually like a full apron, but support the local artists, ya know? And they are really nice and took a lot of skilled works so...Another lady made her own dish cloths and hot pads and knitted scarves and hats and neck warmers. Tons of work!! Lovely items. I wish I would have gotten something from her but I wanted to walk away with money IN my pocket! Maybe I'll catch up with her again and I can get some things from her. Surprisingly there was no one there with those fleece tie blankets. I want one of those too, so it's probably a good thing no one had them.
There wasn't a lot of traffic at the fair. It was in a very, very small town, the Husker game was on, there were lots of other benefits going on yesterday, etc, etc. I did manage to sell a few of my goodies though and people took my cards with my Etsy shop listed. It's a promising start! I think I'll keep at it for a bit longer and see how it goes through Christmas.
